Jubal is one of the better westerns to come out of the 50s which is a little surprising as the underlying storyline and themes isn’t original. But between the direction, cinematography and acting it comes alive and makes this basically predictable romantic drama entertaining. — Andy Webb*

Not the best of the Glenn Ford-Delmer Daves Westerns. That distinction belongs to the thoughtful, tense 3:10 to Yuma, which is universally recognized as one of the best Westerns of the 1950s. Jubal is splendidly acted and remains an entertaining change-of-pace western. — Glenn Erickson*

The cast is outstanding. — Dr. Svet Atanasov*
