Celui-là, on voulait le voir depuis longtemps. Jane Greer, Bob Mitchum et le Mexique, comme dans The Big Steal. Des ingrédients comme on les aime, relevés à souhait, chacun dans son registre. Le film est construit et joué très savamment, dans un noir et blanc chiadé, autour d’un archétype de créature diabolique, d’une femme fatale de chez femme fatale. C’est magistral. Imparable. Horrible.
C’est délicieux.
