The Land Day is held every year to commemorate the six Palestinian protesters who were killed by Israeli police and army during mass demonstrations on March 30th, 1976, against governmental plans to confiscate lands in the Galilee. Most land of Al Walaa has been lost after 1948, and later the building the settlements and the Separation Wall that, once completed will completetly surround the village.
