Aside from the new pretty faces, there’s nothing in Ride that we haven’t seen in the previous films. As a whole, the series fails to innovate, relying on recycled plot devices that seemed fresh when The Magnificent Seven debuted in 1960, but were complete clichés by the time Ride came out in ’72.
