Brilliantly acted and meticulously directed tale of teenage angst, hormones, terrorism, state-surveillance and inter-generational strife. Quiet surfaces and seemingly innocuous events consistently hint at much greater implications – and though there are the occasional longueurs here and there, they are swept away by one of the most shattering climaxes in all of cinema.
